Gladto be trucking when I think about what I could be doing to support a family if I wasn`t.Not cut out for factory work,too hotheaded for a white collar job nor am I "customer friendly."Thankful there are still some trucking companies left where I blend in.Most of what I originally liked about this lifestyle has changed,though.

Nope, I'm not sorry. I don't know what else I'd do.

I have been out of the seat for a year due to a work related industrial accident, (not driving) and I am wondering;
A. I like being home with my wife everynight.
B. I'm not looking forward to going back to JB Hunt, where I got injured at.
And C. Why cant I win the lotterey. Maybe i did with this accident. -
I'm no longer OTR and I still get to drive time to time, but if I were to be brutally honest, I would have to say that I'm sorry I'm not trucking full-time anymore. I drove OTR most all of my career and I miss it every day. Thing is; with my family being used to me being home (especially my 3yo), the job and bennies I have now, it wouldn't be prudent to go back.

I regret getting into this industry...wished i had gone to college when i had the chance. The driving part is a perfect fit for me but there doesn't seem to be any jobs that allow me to do more than just keep my head above water for another week. Its tough to save up any money at all and since there's no real chances for promotion, its really just another dead end job.
But...its paying the bills.Splenda Thanks this. -
I love what I do. I have no regrets at all.I've been fortunate enough in these crazy economic times to keep rolling. I wouldn't have it any other way.
