Consider yourselves lucky. I had to sit on 50 for an hour and a half. Some idiot decided to park on his drivers’ side just before the westbound span of the Bay Bridge.

I hate places like that. I have been known to pull out the gate, open my lids, and drive right back in.

Good thing is, now you know how this place is so you can be prepared next time.

Oh and fog sucks. No way to sugar coat it. In my opinion it’s the most dangerous travel condition there is.

I even asked them if I could back out onto the road and open them. They laughed, but said with a serious face "you'll still just get refused".

I'm thinking to myself, it's urea going three hours down the road to a feed mill. They don't care. I just want to know what happened to my harness. Even the logistics manager apparently said I'm "normally on the ball" with these kinds of things.

I'd completely agree with you on the fog. I'll take a completely snow covered road running empty with a side wind to fog. Even worse is the ice forming on the road surface. Combine that with almost no visibility, and "new Canadians" who can't seem to drive to conditions, and it's a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Yesterday they had over two dozen collisions and two fatalities west of Regina on the Trans-Canada. Freezing rain created a sheet of ice. In like a 5 mile stretch.

That's one of the many things I miss about living in the country, looking outside and seeing stuff like that.

A buck and a doe, the rut must still be in.
