I suppose if you had those funky Mack rears it could be done with a shorter wheelbase. Drive angle would be more flat. Just a random thought
snowman_w900 Thanks this. -
So far I have 248" wheelbase on a tridrive in specs, and Peterbilt didn't complain anything yet
-
I’m not sure Peterbilt would necessarily say anything, it was the Spicer rep that said it to me.
-
244 wheelbase but only a 3 axle
-
Look I’m just repeating what I was told, I have no first had knowledge nor do I really care. It was food for thought if someone is looking, it’s one of those things that might only come up if asked.magoo68 Thanks this.

Set forward axle or back? They would have the same drive shaft length and angle but different wb
-
They wouldn’t have a different wheelbase, they’d have a different bumper to bumper length.Oxbow Thanks this.

Wheelbase is measured from the front axle. You can have the same length tractor with a shorter wb. Or else why is it called wheelbase?
