    Beware of this Company!!!
I answered an add in the Houston area Craigslist from this company they had advertised for > REGIONAL< tanker drivers. I filled out the online application and was contacted by their driver recruiter John Z the job description he explained to me was a REGIONAL position covering TX KS OK MO AR LA with a 6 day on 2 day off work schedule this is exactly what I was looking for. I told John I was interested in coming to work for them so arrangements were made to take a pre employment drug screen and I gave my employer at the time my two weeks notice. I took the drug screen and updated my DOT physical at this time. I called John as I had been instructed to after completing the drug screen and physical he then informed me to contact him at the end of week after my duties were completed with my current employer. I called John that Friday expecting to be given my travel itinerary to come up for orientation and to P/U my truck. during this call the job description changed completely from a REGIONAL position to an OTR position from Houston to the west coast going as far north as Seattle being out 10 to 12 days at a stretch. this is not the job that I was told I would be doing and would not work with my personal situation. if John would have been honest with me from the beginning I would not have left the job I had. so if they will lie to you to get you in the door you have to wonder what else they will lie to you about once you are an employee? I will be taking my 2.75 million safe driving miles and experience to a company that is hopefully more honest and forthcoming than LLL / Girton is.

That's just dirty...Were you able to return to your previous employer, or was it too late?

I could probably do the walk of shame and go back to my previous employer. but there were issues going on there that aren't going to change or I wouldn't have been looking around for a new situation. The job at LLL if it had been as advertised was exactly what I was looking for. pretty depressing situation thinking I had found my perfect job then have it changed completely. then the Driver Recruiters attitude when I expressed my displeasure in his business ethics. makes me sick to my stomach thinking about the situation :(

The head recruiter in Mission Kansas told me and other Nashville drivers that we could make $66,000 a year, while running an ad posting twice every weekend on Craigslist to that end.
I turned down 3 other jobs because she (Pearl) convinced me of it. After I started running, I realized that with this lane it would be impossible to make more than $53,000 a year. I emailed my dispatcher Alex, (great guy) a picture of the CL posting. He took it to the Op Mgr who told him those are old ads from accounts LLL no longer has. He apparently told Pearl because she changed it to $58,000 a year. Still a lie, and still $5000 more than than you can possibly make. I took home just over $900 this past week after running as many loads as legally possible. She also lied and said driver turnover rate is only 25%. The Op Mgr told us it is really 67% driver turnover rate. Girton/LLL does not have holiday pay. You have to earn paid time off and use it for your holidays if you want holiday pay.. Their equipment is all very old and beat up.
Payroll has messed up every one of my paychecks.
They use old style mileage charts so our actual miles are really counted up to 10% less than what you run. No one gets raises or ANY bonuses. They nickel and dime the drivers for every little thing they can.
This ain't my first rodeo. I've been driving 22+ yrs, but this is one of the worst con jobs I have come across. Don't be fooled, don't walk away, RUN!

at least you found out before hiring on. I worked for a Co. that hired me for west coast driving. After orientation in Ok. I was sent to E. coast and was kept there. After some complaining finally got sent west.

I just found another job hauling eggs in a reefer for .50 a mile avg 2800 to 3500 miles a week, no touch freight. My last check with LLL after running 70 hrs was $704. I could have made more working at McDonalds!
