I'm not trying to be meen or anything, but if Werner wont hire you, that says just how bad things really are! They usually hire anybody with a pulse! On a positive note,It is probally a good thing,as thet are about the last co in the industry you would want to be at for a whole year! Crete is just the oppisite.Ger your hazmat and call them back.I would sugest that if you have a job now,to hang on to it,at least till next year.(Feb or March 2010) Right now, your driving record has 3 strikes against you.Time will heal that.I know drivers that have a couple of years exp.that cant find a job trucking right now cause of there record.Things are a lot worse than most people realize right now.Sorry about the lecture. Good luck, and don't give up.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Who is hiring at the moment?

hi primes not hiring? Iam going to orientaion march 3. I think someone lied to you.
-
Allen Freight services, out of Jacksonville, FL try them Im going to orientaion on 3/2/9, after i got canned from Roehl Transport
-
when freight slows up thru the north east, its bad.lots of companies are getting rid of their deadwood, and can hire the cream of the crop out there.trucking schools are still putting people out, not telling them the reality of the market.and some trucking companies are stringing these students along just to make money off them.i hope by march and spring it gets better,February and January are lousy months for trucking anyway. im still tryin to find a company that will hire an old timer with no current experience.P.S. anybody see the news on fox tonite it said trucking companies are inundated with job applicants!
-
look into becoming a nurse, seriously
-
have you tried a local job, dump truck, waste, get haz-mat and haul fuel,, do what it ever it takes to get experience !!
-
I saw it on Headline News, now even more drivers and not enough freight to go around. They also said that with the flood of new CDL's, the companies can afford to pick and choose more instead of hiring everyone. Great.
-
It would be even greater if more wannabes watched Headline News and had the sense not to get ripped off paying trucking schools for a useless CDL .
How many weeks could you feed your family on what a trucking school costs ? -
Or just do a search, Looks like to me there are a lot of repete questions.
-
yea, I definately wish I had done some more investigating prior to jumping into trucking school. I've been an independant contractor for 15 years that I can back up with taxes and was told that I would be able to choose which company I went to work for. LOL. I did enough checking to see that most companies required less than 2 tickets and 2 at fault wrecks in the last 3 years. I have 1 of each with a speeding ticket about to fall off in May but have been shot down by 6 companies so far. These schools promise you the world, get you set up with a finance company and leave you hung out to dry!
