It slowed down for me. Sitting in Tampa with no load , that never happens to me. I roll nonstop back to back no sitting around. I never leave the south any more. It will pick up again.

What type of trailer do you pull? Dallas isnt the best anytime of year where I'm at, Wichita is even worse... Both are cheap areas... Flatbed.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I’m pulling reefer. Haven’t seen much of a difference. However, the lanes that pay are paying more and the lanes that didn’t pay are paying less. Still shakes out to the same overall rate.
SteerTire and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Yep. Nothing in Tampa today. The TA parking lot was full the entire day.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

The loads that pay the best go to bad areas. And vis versa. Freight volumn is pathetic in a economy on steroids. I dont see it. Most places i go there is only 100 plus loads in a 100mi radius and those are near or in major populated areas. if there is no volumn then lanes that pay 3mi will drop below 3 more like 2.25. I pull reefer im having hard time finding loads for 2.50 . But $2 is common
Its contract season for brokers thats why rates are low IMO this time every year . Brokers are competing against each other .Drivers are getting used and abused with rates during the process so brokers can secure freight accts. -
How do you survive in the south are you an O/O or company. Is your equip paid off. I wont pull for less than 2.50 . I sat 4 days in Ohio because of cheap loads . 1400 to Greenbay 3days to final. Cincy to Chicago 450.00 Cincy to KC 670 mi pays 1200.00 loads 10pm and i empty out 4 days ago. or we got a load to MN for 1.98 44k . So much for a booming economywhoopNride Thanks this.
