really? I don't run much down there,But when I did I always got Good Flatbed Freight Back north to Chicago and Indiana....... Gerdau in Midlothian,tx has Bar Loads daily- Or you can grab some Hardie board for $1.37 a mile going anywhere.

Oh BTW- Do you have that gun in your avatar? Supposed to be the cats meow these days

Yes I have that Milwaukee Impact. I've been trying to do more and more of my own work on the truck. So far only have used it on shocks and torque arms but it worked like a champ.

Bought it on Home Depots website.

I'm a company driver , that's how I survive. I'm old , about on my 3rd retirement. 0 debt of any kind and plenty of bank accounts at the end of every month. Haven't got a care in the world. Been there done that o/o , carrier , broker etc etc. When you have nothing major to worry about I find trucking to be a pretty fun past time. Biggest thing for me now is I don't have to touch snow or ice. My best advice is to find something that is dedicated. That doesn't have to be same pic same drop everytime but some type of a SYSTEM. Some type of BUSINESS MODEL. Driving a truck isn't a business , it's a job so in some way shape or form try to turn your job into a McDonald's franchise. This is what we do and this is what we don't do. Hope that helps a little.

I slowed down too.15 years ago I run over the speed limit everywhere and got so many speeding tickets that I had to transfer my CDL to a different state quickly so that they would not suspend my CDL in mine. These days, I run at 65 - 70 mph most of the time.

That Dallas Market took a hit for sure . I scored a load at a good rate out of there today but I'm still hopeful it will turn around. Stock market is down again today and a bunch of automobile plants are scheduled to close , a lot of auto parts run up that 35 corridor. Hopefully just a winter slump .

With what the Fed has planned for interest rates that's not likely.

Am i missing something . There isnt alot of volumn out there. 176 loads in 100mi radius of Cincinnati not good volumn . With a truck to load ratio of 2 to 1. Take what you can get cause it isnt gonna get better. Only lanes i seen were east coast and south . You go south your gonna get stuck there . Reefer side that is.
