What attracts me to Werner, is I don't have to worry about logkeeping. I've applied to Crete, Roehl, Maverick, some "good" companies, but they wouldn't take me...Schneider, Prime, and Werner will. I don't have any OTR experience. What I do have is almost 5 years of local exp..
I wanted to run Regional, but the recruiter said out of Albuquerque, there is nothing open, yet.She offered me a Family Dollar run out of Odessa, Texas...I've been offered this by JB HUnt too..I understand the nature of it, tight parking lots, and unload the truck yourself..I am 33 years old, and I see it as a way to get in some exercise, after sitting in the truck for hours...Any Family Dollar drivers please tell me how you like it..

    Hey Craftsman,

I noticed the date on your posting is a little old so i dont know of you are still interested or not but if you are let me tell you my experance.

I am a Werner driver and on the Family Dollar dedicated fleet out of the Odessa TX dc. I love it. The miles are there. I'm getting around 3000 a week and usually home every other weekend. I live in Arizona so i even get to go home sometimes during the week if i got a phoenix load. Nothing like doing a DOT recharge in my own bed. If your still interested in Family Dollar and dont mind unloading your own trailer then go for it. The miles and money is there.
