Headlight problems
I have a 94 Peterbilt 379.
When driving on a rough road, the lights flicker. Even if the switch is turned off. Any ideas?

I'd put my money on a bad switch if it's doing it with the switch off

I'd consider a short to power. Check for rubbed wiring on the harnesses.

The cable from the frame to the hood may be bad.
Doubt it is a switch. -
Check the relay on the circuit box. The relay can get hot. Check the pins on the relay, clean them or change for another relay on the panel. Most of the relay on the panel are the same. I have the the same make and year of your truck. And have had a similar issue. The toggle switch may be an issue also but I never had it with mine.

Thanks! It was the switch. I’ve had a lot of people tell me I should “update”, but the old girl is paid for. I frame about 300,000 ago. New 13 speed transmission less than a year ago... I think I will keep my seat.Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
Update for what? A newer and high dollar headache. Them computer mechanics at the dealerships would never have found that. Keep what you got. Be happier.
Diesel Dave Thanks this.
