    sounds like a freightliner. .... and with most freightliner problems just get used to it

    Release tractor brake, gently back in to the kingpin and set the brakes. Sometimes the locking jaw on the fifth wheel will get bound up.

    Leave trailer brakes locked. Unlock truck. Put in reverse and ease back a bit. If you can't pull the release, try a pulled from a truck STOP, etc. They are about $20. I had to buy one for the Freightliner I was driving.
