    No.. Thinking that these pick-up hot shots are getting a better deal than the high prices that I pay for my 18 wheeler.
    But then again, I don't see a lot of ltl freight to keep those guys going either

    I've never done it I guess but if you look at what they want for a decent used one ton you're talking about the same money for a decent used truck.

    I have thought about this but I don't think they are. No pickup is going to last 1 million miles, which is kind of a low average for an O/O's truck. I would think a smart O/O would get 1.5 out of one, I know a guy who has run his Coronado to 3 million. And a pickup cost the same as a 2-3 year old tractor with less than 500k.

    You've got no APU or standing room, or a real bed for that matter, in a pickup and the idling problems on a newer diesel truck are the same as a tractor.

    The 1 million comes into play if you're moving equipment that has fuel in them cars trucks boats construction equipment that requires fuel and you can be assured now at this time in more than a million in a way people likes to sue you better have a lot if you mess up
