To be honest, those jobs are slowly becoming more scarce. If you can't learn to operate on electronic logs these days, it'll be tough to survive in this industry.

I can log what I log on paper on elogs. I just had a 99 truck before it went into effect. I see no reason to change until I'm forced. I don't run it to cheat or any other reason people love to say.xsetra Thanks this.

Ok so since you can log on paper what you do elogs, then it makes no difference right? Since you are 100 percent legal, logging techniques don't matter right?Tb0n3 Thanks this.

Did I ever say it matters? I said I prefer paper do you log 100% legal on elog? Just because you can do it on elog don't mean it's legal. I talk to plenty that are technically cheating elog. Your just looking for a argument I won't give you.Canadianhauler21 Thanks this.

Snowflake alert.
Watch out folks, if you don’t condem all thoughts of paper logs you will have offended the snowflakeBoostedTeg, Shadow3829 and RSB34 Thank this. -
Basically, mostly everyone at my old company was cheating their Elogs just as good as in paper logs. Those people in mega carriers with Qualcomm's really can't cheat anything however.....

I am independent but I haul for a trucking company that has 60+ trucks they are on elog might be abord I'm not completely sure. What they Do on them I can't believe they never get caught. It reminds me of 20 years again when I did run illegal. They go in change the logs all the time. Then when I tell them I can't log something they get upset because they can run it. They have good paying loads and I do well there. But the constant wanting me to do what it takes is making me ask my self if it's worth it. One thing I will give them is they do not retaliate when I don't do something they think I should. But I do hear about it. I make good money with them I see no need to put my numbers in jeopardy running illegal. I believe in following the laws and working to get them changed to what I feel would be better.bryan21384 and Canadianhauler21 Thank this.

One of those overused terms, kind of like irony, literally, seriously, and reallyZVar Thanks this.

Bro I'm not looking for an argument. You're the one that's getting upset. I only asked a simple question. If your a law abiding trucker, then nothing I say matters, right? You can just ignore my comments to you, right? If I'm full of it, then it's no need to entertain me. You don't have to admit it but people only want paper logs because of "flexibility." The elog doesn't give nearly as much "flexibility." It's no other reason people want paper logs. Besides, in or out of this industry, paper is fading away. Sometimes I think an elog mandate would have happened regardless of any propoganda the feds try to spew.

Some laws really suck. I used to be that out law trucker. Looking back, that was risky at times. I've done paper and I've done electronic..even if they were to life the ban, I don't think I would think go back to paper. I've become to used to it. It cuts out a lot of time. I love the idea of touch the screen and go.
