This is some more university BS. People 's choices make them have heart attacks. If you CHOOSE to make a steady diet of fried foods and unhealthy fats then chances are you will develop problems. If you choose to eat leaner meats, fresh veggies, and limit the junk food to a couple of times a week then the reverse is normally true. Also genetics play a big role in your chances of heart problems.

I dropped 25 pounds on a medical diet and have kept it off for about 7 years.
2 slices of Bacon and 2 eggs in the morning with one small glass of unsweet grapefruit juice.
Salad and any meat for lunch with one small glass of unsweet grapefruit juice. Same for Dinner. You can cook your meat just about anyway that you like except fried in batter. Just stay away from carbs and sugars. Eat like this for 10 days and then eat how you want for 2 days. Continue this cycle until you reach you weight goal. You will loose 20 pounds in 2-months if you stick to it. Once you reach your weight goal, you go into management and you can eat lite for about 4-5 days a week and eat how you like the other days. If you put on 5-7 pounds, go back to being strict. Just don't let it get out of hand before you get serious again. This is a healthy diet and sure way to loose weight and keep it off. And try to walk about 1-mile a day.

Bet if you jogged over to Meridian or Cranfill Gap everyday and back you could double up on your bacon and throw in a sausage or two.:biggrin_25525:
Sounds like you have found what works for you. I can't do the fruit juice everyday. My body turns it right into sugar. Just have a orange, apple , or grapefruit in morning. Dr told me that a glass of apple juice has the same sugar as about 8 apples. Same with orange or other juices. Said just start eating the whole fruit and no way you will eat 8 apples or oranges. I could do your diet pretty easy with a few mods and think people who want to lose weight should give it a try. The free days are really good. That is one of the things that has made Weight Watchers so popular. Most people can handle dieting if they know in a few days they can cut loose a little.

I use unsweet grapefruit juice. Yeah, if I could jog to the Gap or to our County Seat everyday I probably wouldn't need a diet. I got your private message but I can't reply because I don't have enough posts. You can eat all of the meat and salad that you want to eat. Try to use a lite salad dressing that is low in carbs. Other than that, just eat till your full. But only two eggs and no more than two slices of medium size bacon for breakfast. Drink the small cup of grapefruit juice after each meal. The grapefruit juice and the salad work together to burning off the weight and are the key. Surgeons prescribe this diet for people who need to drop a few pounds before surgery. Once you loose the weight, just eat like this at least 4-5 days a week to keep it off or to manage it.

    Big Duker Thanks this.
