:biggrin_25520:If the work is there for all of us let freedom ring. By all means necessary, Employment for anyone who has the determination and skill to be a truck driver is good for the job market. The main thing I hope for, is that business will still stay strong for all the drivers who are out here now and for the new drivers coming aboard on the ride of their life, may God help us all.:biggrin_25525:

You've got to be kidding . Department of Labor statistics show over 1 million unemployed transportation workers , a 50% increase in a year . The only "opportunity " is filling seats of trucks abandoned by drivers that found out you can tell recruiters and trucking school managers are lying if their lips are moving . $.30 a mile isn't much when you are lucky to get 1,000 miles a week . Go ahead and do like others here report they've done . Pay $4,000 for school , MAYBE get hired , go to orientation , go sit home several weeks without pay until someone quits and makes a truck available . Then go on the road for 4 or 5 weeks at a time spending half your time sitting waiting for loads . There are many posts here by drivers that couldn't get enough miles to take home $300 a week . Don't even think about a lease purchase . You'll owe the carrier money at the end of the week .
