miller pays you for everything the company driver does cause they are union and the 401 and benefits are covered by the teamsters , you get paid to sleep in truck are they pay for motel your choice and run 100% legal

I suppose its better to go with a bigger company when it comes to yankin' tank. It looks like some of you drivers make more money sitting than I do on a load. and you got benifits. I get payed percentage and make about $700-$1100 a week which ain't bad but I gotta run real hard to get it and I do it with this million-mile 'shaker and this old 1984 insulated smooth bore trailer. one of these days im gonna hit the big time and get wash-out pay.

Tanker yankin aint for everyone but i will never bump a dock again. Been yankin for 12 years. Pay is good ($55,000 a year) and home all but 10-15 nights a year. Sleep next to mama, use my own shower, eat meals with the family, and pack a lunchbox every day. I still run hard 60-70 hrs. a week and some saturdays but i love it.

I thought Foodliner had a pretty good pay/benefits package. They didn't have a terminal near me. -
I am looking for a tanker company that does not reqire HAZMAT, and will take a graduate with 6 months of experience.
-
I'm looking for a food grade tank company too. I live in Oregon. Anybody know of any that hire in the Portland area?

Anybody know if any of the tanker co.'s allow pets? I hauled gas locally for a year and a half until I was laid back in December. I would love to stay tanker yankin' if at all possible OTR, but I have to be able to bring my dog. It's just me and him and I can't pawn him off on anyone else. Sooooo, any of them allow pets??
-
From what I've seen and heard most Haz Mat companies won't allow passengers because of the facilities they go into won't allow it. I'm not completely sure on pets, but if they won't let the 'ol lady in I can't see em letting your dog in. Just do a lease and you can do what you want! I thought about it, but I'm gonna try company driving for a while. I just finished a 3 year lease pulling a reefer and now I'm going to pull a tank. I believe it will be a welcome change even if Surgeio stops by every now and then, lol
