Yet, I'm wondering if this is the direction these big brokerage houses are going?
-
It's not a requirement, simply ignore the emails or tell them no. They will still load you
-
Based on what I'm seeing here, yeah, seems that way.
-
From the Coyote Carrier addendum,"CARRIER must be able to provide system tracking and tracing via web or the CARRIER’s ELD or TMS systems"
I told the agent that they're free to text me when I'm under a load for a check call. However, no way, Jose, on the ELD access. -
Their phone app enables tracking. It should be enough.
-
I refused to give them any access and they were not bothered with it
-
Yeah, the agent made sure I knew that for right now it's not mandatory. However, it is a telling sign of what seems to be coming, in my opinion.
-
If i see a load posted from them, I immediately go to the coyote website and look at their load board. It gives all the load stipulations right there, if I agree, then I'll call. Saves the surprises. Needless to say, I rarely ever haul for them because of their practices. In fact, every time I've done the above it's ...nope, not doing it. But when they call me...
I'll say this, when they are hurting, they will pay. Example: 6 pallets - 558 miles - $3,800. And they didn't even hesitate with that quote..
Yes, I wish I'd have said 4k, because they took that way to easy.whoopNride Thanks this. -
Yep, they are usually cheap, like Chrobinson, but when they really need to move something, they can really open their deep pockets
