Apparently not. To be fair though, he couldn't have caught a plugged fuel filter on a pre-trip.

Ok,ok,i am just trying to help other drivers out who might be looking at this place for work in mn. Update-last night a friend of mine called who was working there from wi,and asked me if my checks from tim flanigan have bounced. I replied my last check for $320 in fact did clear, but he docked me $1600 for the trailer tires that were replaced...... He informed me his check for $2000 would not clear the bank and he has since moved on.....all i am trying to do is inform my otr brothers of another sleazy place to check very carefully before taking a job with! Also, lastly,on my last run for him i spoke to another of his drivers on the cb in roseau,mn who informed me he was from n.c. And had been home 2 times in 18 months! (not his choice) also,he had to replace a fuel pump on the side of the road which took him 4 whole days to figure out cause flanigan would not pay for roadside.is a fuel pump also in the pre-trip,i think not....again,just trying to help others out there......

you would have to be drunk or retarted to pay for repairs out of your own pocket. :biggrin_25510:

Hey Bumpy, I know it sucks, but sometimes the only way to learn is to make mistakes. There actually is some good that can come out of working for a jerk. That is the "education" you get from them, on what NOT to do.

It also helps you recognize a good company when you have found one.

Let me see if I understand..."You paid to fix your truck"

I find that hard to believe

Ok Tran Man,against my better judgement Im gonna reply cause I have time. I did not PAY to fix MY truck,I PAID,- to fix Flanigans truck, because if I would have refused,I had two choices. I would either still be sitting there,or I would have had to take a bus home.(Not a good idea, its called abandonement) Now,if you think I am full of s#it,that is your choice, but I prefer to tell the truth as I am sure everyone here is tired of being lied to!

Ok...ok... I believe you. I just needed a explanation. Know that I have one, Thank You.

However, my brain still can't except putting up with this much abuse from anybody, let alone some "small time" trucking company. In construction we know how to deal with people like this... After just a few weeks of being on this truck forum, and reviewing my relations with these trucking company's "first hand"
"How do you guy's ,and gal's put up with this?"...... Somebody needs to organize this buisness.... I could go on, but I won't,

    against my better judgement...lol...
