i aint going to tell what i did, But got pulled over over random dot check, 2 real nice officers , checked log's,paper work, med card etc, then they asked if they could search my cab,,WHAT SAY U? ,
p.s. i ask them why all the dots working he said a "dog and pony show"
also i asked why me he says "your bob-tail so it's easy" and we shot the bull the whole time cutting up and such, telling them cop jokes and such,,and i was on personal conveyance, "off duty" if fact he actually praised me on how neat my truck was and paper work all in town files inside a trapper keeper and on the dot form it has a block they check if search was preformed,

Of course you may search.....with a warrant.

Don't need a warrant. But your answer will be the focal point, for the rest of the inspection.

If you doubt this, read the regs closely. And figure out how "warrant" applies to a commercial vehicle, when the regs clearly state what can't be in your truck. Verses, how they will determine what is actually in your truck.

While it's considered a big No-No. I'm equally quick to return an attitude. But, I won't refuse a request to search my truck.

Hey that is funny!!!!LMAO,Let em search mine, they'll be busy for a while...lol..Just tell them they can't search and they'll see to it that you're tied up 3-4 hrs. while they scrutinize EVERY part of that rig...I have heard them brag that they can write up a truck off the showroom floor,if they want to of course!!Depends on how you respond I guess??

Got another DOT Inspection, They tied me up for 3 hours and would'nt say I passed because the guy was training. That sucks because I do Wide Loads and the Sun was going down. Just not fair. They should get a truck at a dealer for training.

When I see DOT training newbies in TN they pull in every duallie with a gooseneck that comes by . They don't cut those guys any slack . Quite a few of them are illegal and don't have a clue about FMCSR so they're pretty good revenue producers .
