There is a REAL good place here in IL still Exit 112 off I-80 the old Ambest now a TA franchisee The R Place. Srtill will blow you away with the Grub and the service is still as good as it was when I was running in the late 90's. Put it to you this way drivers I lived 30 mins away and I perferred to stop there and eat rather than go home and grab something there instead that tell you anything. I would take a Truckstop over HOMECOOKING and that being my MOMS cooking.

East of Boise idaho on I84 is the Stage Stop Truck Stop, inside the restaraunt is a sign that reads, this is a truck stop, if you dont like the people here due to how they look act or talk then feel free to leave. dont know of any other places that have signs like that. I noticed the little truck stop on I 80 in wyoming west of laramie on the south side of the road shut down, was that a mom and pop shop that shut down due to high fuel prices??

I have always love the Petros over everyone else.. The one thing that I can't stand are the Pilots/Loves because their parking is not enough and small as hell, and all they do is sell fast food.. I have alwasy tried to avoid them but sometimes it was not possible..

I remember the Orange Ball well. In Ohio, there was one on I-75 at exit 36 and another one at exit 169??, I think. It was in North Baltimore, Oh.

The one at exit 36 has been closed for years and the other one was a Petro the last time I was up that way.

The 76 truckstops used to be nice but they were really run down before they went out of business.

There's a Mom and Pop TS in Ohio at the intersection of US33 and US127. It has room for about 20 trucks and has great food and friendly people. It was there around five years ago so guess it's still around.

Does anybody remember the 76 in the neighborhood of Fontana, California. It was the one with the dust bowl for a parking lot. I'm pretty sure the truck stop is long gone. I'm trying to nail down the exact location of the place.

Etiwanda Avenue? I can't remember for sure. It's 15 years or more since I've been there.
