No. I decided not to. It is just pricey. But I did speak with the owner on the phone. He seemed like an alright guy. If it wasnt for the price I think I would have but 19 a month is to much. I will keep track better with pen and paper and other methods rather then spend that. Keep all my receipts in different categories and envolopes and use quickbooks to help track it and use their layout on a spreadsheet which I'll adjust it to my liking.JMO. Im thinking of maybe doing quickbooks pro. Pay for the software a one time payment and you have it forever. Update it every few years. Syncs with my bank. I dont have it but a few people on here use it for their business like invoices, settlements.
What's a good software for keeping track of expenses

I am playing with Rigbooks now. Hubby is OK with fee as it is a total tax right off for us. Since we have first month free it will make the choice if we stay or not.
So far one big pro is its cloud based and can be used on any of our devices. That scared me at first for couple of reasons but actually is a benefit since I at home and he is on road. Just doing this month along gives us a whole new perspective on financials for truck. Per diem for me is priceless for I can do whole year to get correct number if nothing else for this year. I am much better at data entry than pen and paper.
So far we are seeing real dollars and cents for deadheads now. This one trip is showing everything on profit and loss in hard numbers since he did fuel up also. Having it there in black and white in One place we can both see is a real benefit. Paper just wasn't cutting it as it fades and gets lost and only works if correct.Shotgun94 Thanks this. -
We tried to use a single user version of Quickbooks in the cloud and it did NOT end pretty..... Corrupted data that could not be reconciled. Had to start our files over. Twice.
So unless this is a mulit-user version designed for cloud use, be warned! -

I was going to try it. But decided against it because.
1) I am not going to give ANY of my info, and sign up for anything. That I cannot at least look at or see a sample page before hand.
2) I am not that crazy about anything that is cloud based. (The cloud makes access easy for everybody. Including those with bad intentions in mind)
3) I would prefer to BUY and OWN a program. Than rent it for $20 a month. That way I no, my stuff belongs to me. It can not be held hostage, or my access to it denied.
4) as i said in the beginning. I need to see what I am buying. Before i buy it. Even a generic example page would be niceShotgun94 and redoctober83 Thank this. -
QuickBooks online is a very good robust system. It has a few minor differences between the desktop version and the online version, but nothing major that would make it useless for our industry and 99% of the businesses out there. -
At this point hubby is entering his data and I can check it.
From what I am seeing more and more are going this cloud way. It's getting real hard to find hard disk programs anymore. I would have done Foglines Trucin Pro but downloading a program that big out in the sticks is next to impossible. Then again not really workable as you must you a Windows based system only. That leaves out phones and tablets and means hauling around laptop.
So they all have Pros and Cons per person using them. You just gotta pick what works for You.
For us right now its Rigbooks.JonJon78 Thanks this. -
Yeah. Don't try that.... -
Quickbooks online is much better for handling what you tried to do.
