I never work on holidays. No one wants to double the wages on holidays

I ended up taking that load and then he wanted me to sit a day to wait on the backhaul so I said I'll just drive back empty and pay the fuel. He threatened to charge me for lost revenue. I ended up taking another driver's load instead. I've always been a firm believer in giving plenty of notice when quitting a job but I think in trucking the best thing to do is quit when ur able clean out out ur truck right then and there. Otherwise if u quit while on the road you are still under orders from ur boss. I understand my boss had orders to fill but when I'm done with something I'm done and ready to leave immediately which is why I was a little perturbed. Bad part about this is the revenue I made in the 2 days doesnt even cover the extra charge for my plane ticket. But anyway I cleaned the truck out and am sitting at the airport enjoying a moose drool before my flight. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I get my last paycheck.

While you are waiting call them up and let them know that you know they are tax cheats and they #### well better pay every penny. If they argue.. Demand 10% extra of every dollar they ever paid you to compensate for they monies they cheated out of your future social security payout. If they refuse.. Let them know they can either pay you or the IRS.. For every employee they screwed plus interest and penalties. You will win the argument at that point.
