Ok do they chose the team member? And that is a good idea past mistakes need catching up on tbh. I chose this industry to not have to deal with people lol but the option for teams is lookikg better and better. I dont know if I mentioned this previously in the thread but I cant get a hazmat or a twicc but im getting my doubles and triples and my tanker next time im home if anything itll look good on a resume.

    Covenant owns Star Transport.
Abilene Motor Express trucks run 72 mph; give them a try. They hire new cdl grads.

    Satisfaction Guaranteed!

K&B Transportation takes a very unique approach with our company driver compensation. Not only do we offer our company drivers a top mileage pay, we also guarantee** our company drivers 2500 paid miles per week. Essentially, at K&B Transportation if you do not run 2500 miles in a given week, we will pay you the difference. This gives you the comfort of a solid weekly paycheck, week in and week out regardless of miles. No other carrier offers this type of stability to their drivers week in week out.

Teaming is a love/hate relationship. Yes the money is definitely there.

The way it works is they will pair you with another guy who is also waiting for a partner. If you dont like the guy they will work with you to find a better match.

I have driven with a lot of guys so far already. Since its a starter company you will probably burn through a lot of drivers.

Would not recommend it to a guy who isnt patient with other people or a guy that can't stomach teasing or criticism.

You'll have some good times they'll make you laugh, etc. But realize for every time you enjoy their company they'll also do something that annoys you.

Also new drivers make mistakes. They drag their Tandems over stuff, fail at their logs, go down dead end roads, make you late, etc..

Your codriver might insist on a shower everyday, which isnt always reasonable. Or you might get a guy that doesn't know what a shower is at all. They might not speak english well so communication takes patience. Their #### will be all over the truck and so will yours. They might not be willing to drive over night. They might shut down in weather most of us just drive through.

I can go on and on. But yes it's good money, sometimes very good!

Best advise I can give you if you decide on doing it is don't keep score on your partner. Don't be like oh, I drove yesterday 8 hours so today i will drive 8 hours then you take over, and on and on. If your codriver isn't working, get a new partner. Otherwise dont nitpick. If you have the hours just drive. In the long run it evens out as long as your partner is the same way. Really I think guys that are that way just dont enjoy the job. Guy I drove with that was like that, he was obsessed with what was "fair" didnt really like the job and quit.
