I have worked there in the past. They have alot of Toyota freight out of Georgetown area. Also a lot of preloaded trailers out of Georgetown yard. They are very good working with you in how hard you want to run. The key is telling them how you want to run. Great company if live in the Georgetown area. I mostly ran the midwest on the van side. I ran about 3000 miles working Monday thru Friday. The freight would get a little slow when Toyota shut down for the holidays. I usually would take vacation time during these periods. I am now working locally or would still be there. Check out all the different positions they have when starting. I am sure they have something to suit how you would like to run. GOOD LUCK.

Is this Mark V? Actually as a recent previous dispatcher there, Toyota is a weak business. PW had stated he didn't want to deal with Ryder (toyota) anymore due to expedite charges. Phoenix profit is negative due to the expedites. I think they get about 6 now. Amazon is their main account and if Amazon knew how and why loads are late, they would die....Even Amazon has slowed down.

I've just left Phoenix Transportation after two years. As a solo driver, you will be pushed to run illegal (over your HOS). Toyota freight has STOPPED, all of it has gone to Ryder. Don't team with them, as you'll only run solo miles (~4000 mi/7 days). Sit time has increased greatly, between runs, and drivers often sit 12+ hours (unpaid) in Hazleton, PA waiting for a load.
Two years ago, they had 125 tractors ('04-'07 Volvos, '00-'05 Freightliners, and a very few '07 Internationals). Now they're down to about 45 running trucks in the fleet. The shop is a company, and literal, joke. Their motto is, "If it ain't broke, it WILL be!".
They do predominately Amazon.com, Kentucky to Pennsylvania and back. They have recently cut drivers pay, and have shown other signs of financial trouble such as restricting routing and fueling points, and other things that I won't mention in a public forum (since they would probably sue me - but you can't get blood out of a turnip!).
On the plus side, MOST drivers are home every weekend. Also, truck speeds vary between 67 mph and 75 mph. There are NO "Driver Numbers", and no Qualcomm (they took it out early this year, to save money). The dispatch office is small, but chaotic and disorganized. They use ComData, but you're restricted to Pilot only, and only ~62 gallons in the Northeast.
If you're considering Phoenix Transportation right now (if they're even hiring), go elsewhere until the economy starts moving. Hopefully, they'll still be around when it happens! -
Additionally, they had the trucks and trailers impounded for writing a cold check with the state for over 200K (tax and title) via public records. As soon as they hit the scales, they were grounded and sited. Drivers weren't stranded and were picked up so that was nice of them but weren't able to finish out their miles.

All these posts are 5 years old. Anyone have any current info on them?
