I mean technically if I wanted to I could use a broker. But these guys have pretty steady freight and most is drop and hook so I cant complain. I came from pulling a reefer to van and I dont miss sitting in docks all day.

I like the fact that the company says run it like a business but the driver get handed keys expensive notes, insurance ,fuel, and low pay. These companies are piggy backing off the drivers and taking all the profit. Leaving the driver broke and making less than a company driver.

What I mentioned on my last post is not crap.

I started there last summer as a refer driver. After my first load I realized not only do I have pay for the fuel on my truck, now I have to pay for the refer fuel as well. Two weeks later. Zero in my paycheck. I immediately ask to transfer over to another division and got dedicated account running from Indiana to the Poconos. Same thing. Just two loads a week because they are closed on the weekends. I'll pick up load in Indiana on Thursday afternoon for a Monday delivery. A lot of sitting around. I even turned down a Thursday pickup for one that delivers on a Saterday. The driver manager takes the phone away from my dispatcher and was actually pissed off at me. So much for a non forced dispatch company. I finally got a load Thursday for a Saturday delivery but only paid $185. This guy sounds like a desk jockey. If he really isn't then he must be a relative of the owner.

They stay in business by not paying to have freight hauled.

Trucking companies buy trucks right hire company drivers and pay them to drive then they monopolize and hire lease purchase drivers who pays the company to work there. Everyone gets paid weekly if they performed work except the lease operator. Sorry business for the operator great for the company.

My check was 2300 this week if you can't make half that you're really doing something wrong. But you goofs probably couldn't make money if someone gave you a truck for free.

If you are anything other than a van driver you are leaving the trailer as well. So reefer and conestoga are responsible for everything on the trailers be it fuel, tires, brakes ect. They make that pretty clear in orientation, at least in our group they did. True independent drivers have much more flexibility than lease ops. To be successful lease op you gotta shut your mouth and keep your door closed. Not all loads pay well sometimes you gotta take a crappy load to get to a place with a decent one. As long as your averages come out alright. As for non forced dispatch I dont know. I take pretty much everything because like every other place if you refuse a bunch of loads you will sit. Everyone is different though but if there were no successful lease ops here the company probably wouldn't be in business. Let's be honest no body wants to work for 5 or 600 bucks a week and you wont keep drivers around very long paying that much. No drivers = no truck payments, no loads, no money. It probably costs close to 1k per each driver you bring through orientation so any good business person would want to make that investment last as long as possible.

When I take $165000.00 and add 5% ($8250.00) I get $735000.00 devided by 72 months comes out to be a little over $2400 a month or $600.00 a week.. If your paying $1500 a week at 52 weeks a year for 5 years you just paid $390,000 dollars..

What makes all these number work for us, is to know what your mileage was for the week so we can see what you’r average mileage was? Fule milge average & Exceda.. ? Also someone stated the weekly truck payment is $1500 a week, why is your statement only showing your payment at $600ish?

Also thank you for all the information u are sharing..
