The seminar is not mandatory. If you don’t go, you are forced into their monthly safety program that costs about $30 per month (may be cheaper).

We run efs/tch cards tied in with a local fuel outfit. I'm not sure on the discount but my card is authorized for all the major brand truck stops, as well as a whole bunch of independents and turnpike plazas. I can't speak at all for the business side but for convenience I'd definitely say I'm a fan of what we run

Last month i fueled 1853.4 Gallons. Average price was $3.12/Gal. Got average discount $0.59/Gal. So price i was paid was 2.53/Gal. Saved $1093.54.
    NASTC.
I fueled this year 17125 gallons diesel. So each cent in saving make $171.25/year.
I got enough showers at TA/Petro that is very important for me. Fueled at safe locations with good diesel quality. Like it!

I have also thought about fueling twice to get two showers, but I’ve been afraid of getting in trouble with TA/Petro as their long list of rules may mention it. If I need another shower and will be shutting down there, I purchase fuel again the next day. The other way I get another shower is by fueling 25 gal at Sapp Bros.

The $4.25 you are referring to is a monthly fee from Fleet One to keep the card active. When did you sign up? I signed up this year. It could be they had or have different rules now. From what I remember is that to use the fuel card without attending the seminar, one must use their safety program, which has a cost of about $30 (don’t know the exact cost).

That's why I didnt get a NASTC card. The last C letter in their name must stand for Cult. I am nearly 40 years old and never in my life I had to kiss ### or bow to someone for their acceptance.
