As a matter of fact one is switching companies in the spring. I adopted him as my mentor cause when I couldn't get in touch with dispatch or safety concerning securement questions he answered (and still answers) my questions . Just so happens because of the holidays and family they are waiting to make any transition to another company. Another two, whom earned their CDL thru JB, want to quit but they fear JB will go after them for CDL costs

Does Melton run all 50? I'm in Jersey, but have no interest running nyc/boston.

BigDog Trucker Thanks this. -
You do need a CDL with Melton, then they put you in their training program. They were at the top at my list when I was beginning my transition from Van to FB but hit a "snag" (unrelated to driving) in the hiring process so had to rescind my application. From the Melton drivers I spoke with their culture, pay and atmosphere are good.

They run the 48 and Canada.
Most of your time will be spent east of I-35 — normal unless you find a company that specifically has freight out west.
I was in Boston twice and on Long Island once in my 14 month stint with them.blairandgretchen and Rugerfan Thank this. -
No he can’t, he didn’t work there long enough.

Worked there long enough to see what I needed to see — and it was enough.
Your experience may vary.
