I'm thinking about starting a small delivery gig in which I'd be doing some white glove delivery for some small furniture stores in the area and some final mile stuff using a small straight truck, probably a "UHAUL" looking truck.... do I need to register for a MC number AND a usdot number? I wouldn't be going out of state if that matters. Thanks in advance
Do I need a MC number and a DOT number for this?

Not if he is not going out of state or hauling hazmat.

No, those are only for interstate driving. You would need to contact your state. Most states have a requirement for intrastate moves.

In Michigan you need a US DOT number.
buddyd157 Thanks this. -
The FMSCA website does offer help with questions when contacted. I think I have annoyed them with all of mine lol.

Tell me that's a joke cause I ordered a magnet through Vistaprint lol. I only ordered one to make sure the numbers were of correct height since they don't offer actual letter/number sizing.

Make sure the door isn't aluminum or fiberglass cause it will not stick... lol... I learned that the hard way...Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Oh man I've seen that too much... Lowe's is the desired choice of lettering when it comes to putting decals on your truck... I got a heat gun and I had my local guy design a logo for me.. I paid $120 for 2 sides and I put them on myself with a heat gun...
