I have the same problem. Here is what I replaced my screw on Mack filters with. So far no problems. I also pump a few gallons of kerosene in the tanks sometimes.

Most stations up here have #1, #2 and 50/50 at the pump. I’ve only ever used #2, and Power Service when it gets below 0*F. Always a good idea to carry a spare set of filters with a red bottle of Power Service.

Ok I feel a little better now, mine looked nothing like that at least. The fuel was just a little cloudy in my filter.

Perhaps I should have specified that is off road diesel in a farm tractor, hence the red or pink color

    D.Tibbitt and Lepton1 Thank this.

The last time I had fuel gel was over 30yrs.ago.I was in the mountains of Virginia, had half full tanks and it was about 20below with the wind chill.I can still remember sitting on the side of the road trying to keep the truck running.I remembered when I was a kid my uncle would put kerosene in his tanks when it got real cold.Luckily I was within walking distance of a mom and pop fuel stop.I bought a 5gal kero can filled it up and poured half in each tank and half an hour later I was on my way. After that if I was going somewhere cold,so was that kerosene can.it wasn't until some years later I discovered Howes and then it was a quart in each tank every fill up.
