buddy of mine wants to make some good cash by driving for 2 different companies. both are local positions, he is currently employed by both at the moment. my question is, is it illegal to drive for 20 hours per day. 10 hours for the morning shift, then another 10 hours for a different company in the night time? he told me, both companies use different electronic software log book. hes off 2 days a week for each job, so he rest during those times. although he drives 10 hours a day for 2 different companies that technically should be legal since hes not driving over the limit in my opinion. im not sure if he could get in serious trouble for it or not. what are you guy’s opinion on this matter
Driver driving for 2 companies local full time. Is this legal?

its not, regular local runs

What he's doing isn't legal and I can't believe it hasn't caught up to him yet or someone in some safety department at one of these places hasn't gotten to him yet.

He can drive for ten different companies if he wants but he can’t drive over 11 hours total without a legal break.
