I'm about to start a new job as a team driver and want to get the best sleep I can, and the trucking company I'll go with, eventually, needs to have the equipment best suited for my needs because I'm getting tired of getting crappy sleep.

Anyone have any advice as to what provides the best sleep while driving teams?

What we did was put down 4 body length pillows and two sleeping bags under the matress. The pillows built a nest of sorts up top.

When just so the whole arrangement soaks the worst of the ride on some bad roads, however you would want the crash net up because there is a risk a high bounce plus a nose down will throw you forward a little bit.

Matresses being what they are it's never any good for sleeping unless you are sitting still.

Most co's use standard mattresses. Sleeping behind your co-driver can be nerve wracking. He may hit every pot hole and constantly slam on the brakes or make right turns too fast ! OR, he may have consideration for you and keep the music off, and be a smooth driver ! Good luck

I know I'm a good driver for my partner and I'll expect the same be done for me. Of course, some drivers are just better than others regardless.

I've run my fair share of team, in company trucks, my own truck, and my brother's truck. Your best investment would be a 2" Memory Foam mattress topper. That works wonders. It's about $80 at any Walmart.

Lately I have been doing research on more expensive mattresses, although I rarely team anymore. The Purple mattress intrigues me.

Suspended bunk is the only way to go.
Takes alot of the jarring out of the ride.
That and having a smooth codriver.

I gave some serious thought to rigging a hammock in the bottom bunk. Never followed through with it.

Nope 3/4"plywood with 4 eyelet hooks on the corners .attach with
Bungees to 4 hooks mounted in the back corners of the sleeper and 2 on the front.
Put the mattress on the plywood and adjust the ride by how many bungees you put on each corner.
