I do flatbed and have had way more than a few times been told I needed tanker endorsement for certain loads. Usually it’s those liquid pallet plastic containers.

As a side note how in the world do you haul general freight in a System trailer since you cannot move the winches. Weird stuff.

We don't really haul very much general freight. Some, but not alot. There are tricks, but, well, lots of straps.

Totes? Yes you need a tanker endorsement to haul totes.

Could be, as has already been pointed out, that I called the wrong company.

    No.

Get into a Bulk Tanker outfit. When I had my class A a week later I had a 10 mile road trip in a stone truck and was present with my trainer the following 2 am start with her Bulk Tanker. Literally no experience at all.

It was a good company for what they do, the problems began when plant suits made unreasonable demands on me in Rockville Maryland the kinds of demands for which I had no experience. Should have answered with two words, No and wait.

That's my story. I can and will touch a tanker today in bulk and have it loaded and delivered pumped off in a hour. That's the kind of solid training I have been given. Ive worked with them several times in my life without trouble.

Good luck to you. Anyone who slams phone on you are not worthy of your attention and loyalty. Indeed if a recruiter is treating you really badly, you have to consider that person living such a ####ting life in his filthy office to be that meanie and bad. I feel sorry for him.

I did flatbed before I did tankers and if I was ever going to start my own tanker company, my priority would be to hire flatbed drivers. Because flatbed drivers have to think. So this Frank guy is on to something.
