Ok.. so I'm glad I found this post.. 2013 t700 mx13 EPA 10.. Bearing in cap is bad getting new cap $140 but the bottom bearing came out in 2 pieces.. Getting new one also but main question is are there ball bearings that run in the groove in pic I'm hoping to post with this. Please help dont want to reassemble if ball bearings are gonna ruin my motor....

No ball bearings, more or less a bushing in lower. Cap does appear to be a roller bearing, but never busted one apart.

in the pic you see that groove I speak of right??? Havent unscrewed the bottom piece yet was praying for an answer & you came through.. love it.. Yea the cap bearing only moves a quarter of a turn so its definitely toast..

@spsauerland hey I remember you said you managed a fleet of some EPA10 and 13 paccars. Really interested how much MPG do they average?
Mine can't seem to get 6 steady, recently did top set, air to air, and turbo pressure sensor.
455HP 18 speed.
3.73 rears -
I struggle to keep 6mpg. 840000 miles mx13 EPA 10 485 hp with a 10 spd.. All new injectors 3 new pumps but still not what I hope for. The guys at kw tell me to delete her & she'll get better with more power but then it limits me to repair shops

Tell me about it, I go crazy when some guys say we get 7 to 8 with the Paccar. I heard the same with your last resort option which is illegal to talk about here lol

Our stuff is mostly local and @ 80,000 whenever loaded with pneumatic tanks and frameless end dump. 455 MX-13 EPA10 with 10 speed, half 3.42 gears other half 3.55 gears on 445 widebased tires. Average is around 6.3 for fleet. EPA 13 are closer to 6.8 MPG with all running 3.42 gears. Had two T660's that we're running regional pulling tank averaging in the low 7's during summer, high 6's winter with no APU's. They were 3.42 gears with 445 widebased.Last edited: Jan 10, 2019
