Driving is the part that is deadly, but the majority of lost time injuries in trucking is from climbing in and out of the truck and unloading.vongrimmenstein Thanks this.

Google actually. I'm starting to see a lot of drivers leave reviews on a companies local Google listing.headhauljames and murat Thank this.

There is an app called, I think, Dock411. It depends on drivers putting in reviews and about a year back when I checked it out, it didn't have a lot on it yet. Hopefully better now.headhauljames and jbatmick Thank this.

That site looked pretty good. Found another one searching through Google called Truckers Rate Shippers. Looked ok too, still needs more reviews from drivers. Site was truckersrateshippers.com.

Throwing our two cents in! Would have to be Cooper Tires Warehouse off of I20 in between Fort Worth and Dallas, TX. Had a 13 hour wait there one time. We got there about 10 in the morning for a 1 o'clock delivery (we knew we were early). They were nice enough to go ahead and put us in a dock towards the end of the building, but told us we might have to wait a little bit before we got unloaded. As the hours went by, still no one had even touched us. Checked in with them every couple of hours, and being told they were going to start on us soon. At around 6 o'clock in the evening they finally began to start unloading us, mind you the tires were stacked in the trailer so they had to unload them by hand. So we knew it would take them a couple of hours to unload us. Went to go check back in, about 9 o'clock and they said they were almost done. At this warehouse they use the green light, red light, green light system and it was still red. Shortly before 11 the security guard came up and asked us if we could move outside of the gate, because they were closing for the night. My husband explained to him that our light was still red and we had never gotten our bol, he then proceeds to explain to us that the guy in charge of that had left for the night. Thankfully the guard had his number and gave him a call, the guy had to drive half an hour back to release our trailer and give us our paperwork. The worst part was the guy was laughing about it, apologized and told us that he forgot about us. How the hell do you forget about someone checking in with you off and on all day? Dispatch was fuming with Cooper Tires over that. To top it all off we ran out of our 14 hours thanks to sitting there all day and were forced to sleep outside their gate. Only to be told about 6 o'clock the next morning that we had to move. Since then our Dispatch has made sure that we never go back to that place, worst delivery ever!jbatmick Thanks this.

If you were there for 13 hours, why didn't you log it as sleeper?
-
Because whether it's in sleeper or off duty, the 14 hour still keeps ticking down on our eld. The drive time will stay where it was, but the the 14 hour doesn't stop until it's completely bleed out and we've been off duty 10 hours.
-
You got a screwed up ELD if this is the case. If you started your day and drove 2 hours down the road to unload, then sat there at the S/R for 10 hours, logging sleeper berth, then your ELD should show you have a fresh 14 hour clock.
Any 10 hour sleeper/off duty (Line 1 or 2) will reset your clock if you have time available on your 70.Bean Jr. Thanks this.
