Chicago Companies

Same thing in Kansas City......rundown equipment with weird
foreign names on the door. Can't speak English drivers that have
no idea what being a professional means.

Also a bunch of out-of-state trucks showing up.....same deal.
Seen a few recently that have weird symbols instead of actual writing.....
like maybe Chinese or some weird foreign language.

Problem is many of the white guys that can speak English aren't
professional either........can't lay their cell phones down
long enough to do their jobs.

 

Many of the foreigners are coming in through the intermodal
divisions.....from there they are slowly going into other things too.
Intermodal is bottom of the barrel work......bad equipment, wore
out trucks or really cheap new ones, other problem is several
of the local towing companies are branching out into the trucking side.

The towing companies are making their money on the towing side.....so
they can afford to haul cheap freight. Also they are taking inexperienced
drivers, drivers that can't go anywhere else, and paying really poor wages...….
and if the driver washes out they just hire another one.....Lord knows there
are plenty of drivers looking for work.

 

I’ve noticed the same thing in the area. The other night at the truckstop at Front Street and Chouteau I bet between all the trucks there, there wasn’t a matching fender in the bunch.

 

You forgot about duct taped mirrors.

 

lot of chicago fleet companies are russian companies with 1099s. youll make good money with them, if youre leasing that is. dont let uncle sam come chasing after you, pay your taxes

Yes your right! Theres alot of them, just got done delivering back them truck! Now this was company number two! That I hookup with and only number two because of a dispatcher that quit on them cuz he wasn't get payed on time they kept putting it off and off and he got tired of it, then it started with me so I followed, that company I'm in the process of sueing them labor board in Chicagoland is handling it will I get my money back probably not! Just couldn't sit back and do nothing you want the name lol!! NATEX logistics or there other name ALEX logistics stay away from these companies!!! They own about 4500 dollars! Now like I mentioned went to work for another company 10 miles now the road and I have to be honest they were ok but remember they all start off that way! Was averaging about 2000 to 2500 a week both companies 65. a mile 1099. Been driving as a company driver for 9 years I did this for one reason and one reason only! To save enough money to buy my own truck come home and do local work be home home with my family so that's what I have done! Wouldn't do it again, and if anyone chooses to do it don't do it to long!! Again for the record when I turn in the truck my last two checks stopped!! This other company still owns me one this Thursday let's see!!!!!! Out
