I got a friend that drives for the same company I haul for and this past monday he delivered in Houston, and deadheaded up to Dallas to pickup tuesday. He said when he got there . All the parking was filled and he was riding around waiting for a spot to open. He said he noticed a JB that was parked and had created him a spot and there was a deputy sheriff there and a few minutes past and hear comes a Tow truck, Before the wreaker operater hooked here comes JB.. after talkin with the Wreaker operater and signing the ticket my friend talked with JB and Jb told him that the wreaker bill was four hundred and change and the ticket was two hundred and change.
JB also told him his miles were way off and he didnt know what he was going to do.
Boy's we all have times when we create parking spots and I hate to see anyone get a ticket. its a darn shame that people think driver's have a endless supply of money. The times are rough and I thought I was pass this info on in hopes that it might save someone else from being ticketed.

My friend Gary found him a spot and he said he noticed someone trying to break in a truck right there in plain day lite.. He said about dark he pulled the wrap aroung windshield curtains and started watching a movie. toward the end of the movie. he heard his driver's door come open and he said he jumped up and the idiot that was trying to break in took off running.

I guess some of you all heard about the poor guy that got shot in his truck down in SC.. and the driver that killed the intruder that broke in his truck in Knoxville.
Well all of this has me concerned and I wanted to share a idea with you all that might save your life.

take a rope or something and tie it to the passenger door handle, Then run it thru your air horn pull. Then tie to the other door. If someone opens the door while your sleeping it may not stop them, but it'll get there attention and your neighbor's and may give you enough time to respond..

if you all have other idea's to share ,please put them in here.. Tom

Ive also heard of people taking 2" Ratchet straps and going through the handholds in the doors and snugging it up so they cant even open the door without causing a ruccus.

OR.............. Stay out of truckstops!! LOL

I'd like one of those stickers myself! Even tho I won't be carrying.
VERY good tips...I think the ratchet strap is best...not letting them get in in the first place.
    I'm thinking electric door handles...say, maybe 440v?

I ALWAYS run my seatbelts through the door handles even if I am at a company terminal. I like that airhorn idea though.

OH SNAP!!! I'd have been hooking up a ratchet strap when the seatbelt were right UNDER it! [IMG]
