90% are negative because Lease purchase was never designed to help the driver.... Tell me how $2600 per month truck payment and only making little over $1 a mile is designed to help anyone... Here's some accurate information OP... go buy a truck and then lease it onto someone that way if you find out you don't like them you can leave

Being treated as crap as a company driver? That’s really a blanket statement that means nothing. If you have no money to buy a truck there is a reason you don’t have any money so you think if you can’t manage your financial situation then go further in debt is a good answer? You will not get rich doing lease purchase in most cases you’re not even going to clear as much money as that crap company Driver..That’s good you paid your quarterly in advance I can’t think of reason why that would be a smart thing to do since you’re in reality just giving the IRS an interest free loan by doing that.I have ran under my authority for several years and have no ideal what you are referring to by a prime carrier or really even a subhaul?Like I sad lease purchase deals are by far the worst and most expensive way to purchase a truck and imo if you’re trying to claim it worked so great for you,you would have bought the second truck the conventional way your own words if you have no money LP you can get without money so if you did buy a second one I would bet it was because you had no money

You assuming too much. None of what you said is true. If you really were running under your own authority, you would know the quarterly installments are required. It is not an interest free loan to the government.
Buying a second truck the conventional way, you get depreciation on your purchase and major repairs have to be factored in over a five year period. When you lease a truck, 100% of the lease payments are a write off. When you enter the purchase term, then you can write off depreciation. I think you are a company driver, never had authority and bloviating about a segment of trucking you know nothing about.

First Quarterly IRS are required but you’re not required to pay them in advance as you said you do,when you do that it is giving the IRS an interest free loan. And you didn’t say what your referring to as a prime carrier or even subhaul.2nd you can not deprecat leased equipment as you state. And most certainly can’t write off lease payments and depreciat it.And what ever accountant told you deducting lease payments are better than being able to use depreciation I’ve never heard of.But LP with a truck you’ve paid top dollar for and very high interest rate that you paid nothing down on so your paying intrest on every dollar that seller says that truck is worth you are paying a lot of money and saving a little for taxes is your only benefit you can come with? One think I have noticed almost everyone on here has in common that tells you how to make a LP work is you have to run you can’t take off every weekend take all runs short long ,you can’t take time off till truck is payed for.So by the time you do pay for it the wheels are ran off.So if you want to marry yourself to a truck good luck I’ve owned my own trucks since 85 and I’ve never or would have never worked like that sale my life for a truck .But you are right I have never done a LP .

IT IS ALWAYS A BAD IDEA TO LEASE A TRUCK FROM THE SAME COMPANY YOU DEPEND ON FOR YOUR REVENUE. There is just no way around it.

This is true. There are some who say that it's just bad planning on behalf of those who fail, but I have heard from drivers themselves who have been paychecks away from finishing a lease and the freight dries up, leaving them no income with which to pay the lease payment.

I meant the sky IS falling. Some drivers never let their crying towel dry out.
