Here is the article I was looking for where I originally read about this. It’s not specific to engine oils but the same theory applies.

I did a 3 stop load to San Antonio, Lafayette, LA, and New Orleans. The first stop noted no shortage or anything. I go to the next stop and there was a pallet on there that should have been in San Antonio. So, I had to deliver the New Orleans part and now I’m on my way back to San Antonio to deliver this one pallet. It wasn’t loaded properly at the plant and the receiver didn’t mark anything as short. It’s 21 cases of beef and the only reason I have to do this is because that one pallet is worth $13k. Some high end restaurant beef and about 650 pounds of it. That’s has to be the most expensive meat I’ve ever hauled. They’re paying me for the trouble so I can’t complain.
Dave_in_AZ, Al. Roper and TallJoe Thank this. -
Must be those bone-in ribeyes for Outback restaurants.

Hey good luck and congrats to you.I start my company as well at the end of This month. Little scary in the beginning but will make it for sure.

Just have some good practices in place so you can keep track of your numbers and invoices and it will roll smooth. After a few months and some trial error, it’s not that bad.

I just double checked the product code. It’s boneless beef tenderloins, USDA Prime. I was wrong on the weight too, it’s 800 pounds. 21 cases and 38-40 pounds a piece. That’s some expensive beef. I’m used to peasant food, USDA choice beef.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

$16.25 a pound for "prime" filet mignon is CHEAP. Go look at what lower quality "choice" retails for at a Kroger... Of course that is wholesale price to the restuarant. They're probably charging $60 apiece for one 8 ounce filet + $10 each for some lousy sides to their customers then there's expensive drinks too! Those aren't going to Outback. Somebody is making a nice profit off of that premo beef...Last edited: Jan 16, 2019

I have to admit that you made me read about this staff. A26 is too new to know yet but I am curious how much really the bypassing extends the engine's life before overhaul, that's the whole purpose of it right?Misesian Thanks this.
