No? I've never said that there aren't any reasons why a driver might choose to drive out their full 11 every day. Your point (or so it seemed to me) was "Dispatch/a DM might not like drivers leaving hours on their clock." I was explaining why (A) that is almost certainly not true; and (B) even if it is true, it's not the driver's problem to fix.

Working for free? I guess we see it differently... that’s why I’m not starting my clock until I have to do it... if I’m sitting somewhere waiting, I’m not working, I am surfin the Net, watching YouTube, replying to emails, cleaning my house, taking a nap, etc ... not a big difference, to me, between sitting on someone’s yard or sitting at a TS... and I’m conserving my clock so that I can work a full day and get paid for a full day. And no, I’m not normally sitting waiting those extra 1-3 hours either... I’m calling ahead of time, communicating my plans and changes if any, making sure I’m on their radar for my next load, etc.... being proactive.
Don’t get me wrong, I want things to flow smoothly... but we have a hand in helping that process go smoothly too... again, your mileage may vary.
Change the Regs back to the way there were??? With respect, please educate me on this... hasn’t the 11/14/10 and 70/8 been, more or less, in place since 1938? What changed? Serious question. -
No. Once your 14 starts it doesn’t stop and that’s not been in play since 1938. That’s only been in play for maybe 10 years.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

A little something to show how the yard is supposed to be set up here in Richmond. Sherron (yard guy) has been handing them out, but thought I’d help him get the word out.
