I have been driving for 5 years otr, local, regional. Mostly flatbed work and I’m burnt out on being gone and working in the weather ( getting wet ). I got layed off my gig 1/7/19 and I’ve applied at both Martin Brower and us foods. Easily passed road test and all that good stuff for both companies. I’m awaiting background and was thinking whatever one invites me to start at first will be my go to. Not much info on Martin Brower so I’m worried with them not enough hours and so on. Us foods is straight forward work your ### off and be done. I’m probably one of the most in shape truckers you’ll ever see so the physical part is not a problem. Before I got my cdl I built scaffolding so I’m no stranger to hard work.lmk what y’all would do?

Yea that’s not good when you already have a tough job then deal with ####ty management on top of that. What did you take home weekly on average?

Not bad the Baton Rouge location says I’ll be off every weekend as well idk if that’s bs or not but sounds good. Martin Brower was vague with me saying I would be off two days ew and that’s about all they said.

Oh yeah new employees don’t make as much as senior ones so you wouldn’t make as much as I said it’s like 20.50 to start and a little less than 23 topped out I got paid component

That what I was told 21.50 Martin Brower pays same wage to. Martin Brower pays OT after 8 hours ed though the only reason I’m interested in them.

I work for a us foods drop lot and yes they do try and micromanage you I have found if you keep your head down and get everything done they leave you alone but this could be different depending on your division. As far as mb I dont know anything about then since there not in my area.
