DriverBill You should shop that $2800 80 hour refresher. I have been director of a few truck driving schools in the past and director of recruiting for a few carriers. I would think you could get refresher for $1200-1500 if you still possess a lot of skill.
The refresher means you are once again as 'good' as a newb grad from the school. I haven't driven in years and I could hit that low bar really quick I think. Good luck.

 

Yeah I think I still have some skills! They do have a 10 hr refresher that is $1,100, a 40 hr that is $2,100 and then the 80 hr at $2,800. The reason I was looking at sage was because KLLM said they liked to hire drivers from there and KLLM wanted me to take the 80 hr refresher.

I talked to Sage and they told me they would evaluate weather or not I needed the 80hr and if I needed less they would tell KLLM I did not need the 80 hr. So I will take your advice and look into other schools before I make my mind up. Thanks for the heads up!
