$10k an acre.. I so wish I could get land for that

1st was a 1200sq 2 bed 1 bath sold it made a little money. Moved into apartment
2nd was a 1750sq 4bed 2.5 bath. Sold it made a little money. Moved to apartment
3rd was a 1500sq mixer upper 2bed 1.5 bath. Sold it took a beating. Moved to apartment.
Presently 2200sq 4bed 3bath. Not selling or moving again. Till at least the last one is out of colledge. So 5 years minimum.
But I get the feeling for asking that question. Was to either gauge how much money drivers make. Or gauge standard of living. -
Great thing about this country. You can move anytime you want.

Back before my divorce I had a 6yo 1300sf 3/2 ranch style house with an 18x20 shop on an acre, surrounded by farmland, in a rural spot about 30 minutes outside a major city in South Texas. I loved that place, but I had to sell it due to divorce. Now I'm renting and saving for a down payment on my next place, which will likely be a duplex or fourplex so that I can generate some rental income.

A picture is a thousand words.

No idea on footage right off hand, but had our current 2 bed 2 bath built back in the mid eighties out in the north Carolina boonies. I actually think my shop is bigger than the house, needed somewhere to work on the truck and muscle cars and not feel cramped. All sits on about 75 acres but its not all flat which limits future development if I got a hair to do something. Only downside is when weather gets nasty getting in or out is nigh impossible.
dwells40 Thanks this. -
Bought 20 acres in nw Mt and build a 700 sq ft one bedroom cabin on it. Off grid. While OTR. Now I'm local driving a log truck and wishing it wasnt off grid. I still have a house and 5 acres in Iowa but I'd rather live off grid and in Mt rather than Iowa.
