Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Go to wyoming! It's the same thing except you won't drown and you don't need a work visa. Good Luck! Bring a warm coat!

Man you got that right, I drive the UP of MI all the time, but Wyoming! forget it. last winter was enough for me. 70 plus mph winds, and Ice! what a combo.
-
I've drove there many times. it's not that bad

I have heavy haul, oilfield and winter experience living in canada and thinking im gonna have a hard enough time getting my truck on there. good luck fellas. Let me know if you get on up there.

I was at a dead stop up there due to an accident with a mty new trailer out of great dane in salt lake and the wind started pushing me off the road. At a dead stop, talk about a pinch in the seat cover, I think the groove is still there. It pushed the hind end over a good 8 , 10 inches till it come up against something on the road, I have been in a few tricky ones but I'll admit that left my knees shaking. Needless to say I was at a crawl till the little America exit where I spent a couple hours peeling things out of the butt cheeks

As said in this thread many a time....you need to be Canadian and last time I checked GA wasn't even close.
Heck with WY...join us on I90 through MT and over Lookout Pass...just don't get out of the ruts unless you can keep it upright. WY is always windy if you don't have a reefer loaded to the gills.
You know the saying "It's windy in WY because CO blows."

And Utah sucks.

The freezing point of water is 32 F, but not if it is in motion!
My lovely wife tells the story of when she was up in Alberta, at a lake while on vacation. They were speaking to someone about the area's history and the lake. One of the "old timers" brought up that "no one has ever drowned in that lake"!
Then he went on to explain that if you fell in, you'd instantly die from a heart attack! -
Lookout's a cakewalk.
