Something else to try if you or in a snow or ice coverd parking lot and you are stuck...Get a bottle of bleach and pour around your drives and it will mely the snow and ice enough to get you out...
Note: watch for the EPA...lol but hey, it works great..

Good post, except for the pain in the ### that has nothing to do but correct a post that has no mistakes. We call them squids. WHats the difference.

The only thing I can think to add to the multitude of suggestions here is a set of fuel filters and an oil filter wrench. Make sure the wrench fits the filter. You never know when you're going to need them, and it beats sitting out in the middle of no where without cell service. Trust me... I've been there. And if this girl can change her own fuel filters, then I am sure you big manly men can do it!
Etosha Thanks this. -
How do yu lock in the differential???
-
To lock in the differential you push the little switch on the dash. It usually slides from left to right.
Has anyone mentioned getting on level ground and just setting the tractor breaks to keep your breaks from freezing up.
We have a key on the outside of the truck, it's tied to something somewhere with a bread tie.
Always have food in the truck, and something to drink, may be even some blankets
A camera is a great thing but most folks have those now a days, if you ever hit anything TAKE A PICTURE Of It...
This is on the lighter side. If you have kids start them a nice rock collection. Especially if you go out west, you can find some really cool rocks.
Never trust anyone in a petro or ta to do what they are supposed to when getting a PM. Half the time they don't even oil up the 5th wheel.

Does anyone know of a site online where I can find one of these tools?
-
You can use the websites of TA, Petro, and Flying J.
Or you can wait until you fuel, then buy one. -
Unfortunately, the truck stops don't have online stores, and, more importantly, they definately aren't the cheapest places to shop.
-
Unfortunately (for you), I'm not a search engine. And they do have online stores/sales.
