Take advantage of your opportunity. Approach every day as another opportunity to take it steady and safe. Develop routines for drop and hooks, pretrips, post trips, etc and never vary from those routines, that goes a long way to avoiding making mistakes. GOAL frequently when backing or in close quarters.
Commit yourself to at least a year with Western Express. Only then should you consider moving to another company. Establish a track record that shows you aren't a quitter and that you are a professional in every respect.
There WILL be good days and bad days. Expect that. Learn to be patient and go with the flow.

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words.. They actually didn't offer me a bad deal.. First 1800 miles = 800$ then .50 cents a mile after.. All northeast region I-95 corridor from Richmond, VA to Portland, ME.. So it will keep me close to home, since my wife isn't used to me being gone that'll help.
