Low engine oil pressure, but I doubt it would cause problems for the amount of time.
I usually idle and move as needed without worrying about it in traffic jams.

You will in time. Eventually.
Interstates are built for 70 mph passenger car physics and 7% Grades generally. When you get off interstate and onto certain areas then you will find 10 and beyond. There is a difference between 7 and 15% 15% the end of your trailer is a certain amount of feet below your tractor and you cannot risk stopping upgrade because restarting is very difficult loaded. Beyond that if something broke on even steeper pulls well. All you can hope for is to stay where it is at that spot and not fall backwards off the mountain.
Anyone can get uphill. But it's the getting down that will separate the boys from the men.CruzControhl and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
some of the bigger hills i been down was in pennsylvania ... theres one highway i forget if its in west virginia or pennsylvania, anyways, the speed limit for trucks down this hill is 10 mph, it winds thru the mountains. no idea what grade it is but i would say pushing 12 - 13%, cool slow drive on a nice day, i wouldnt go near it with snow or ice.. i from out west but i didnt get to some narley hills till i went to pennsylvaniaCruzControhl Thanks this.

Oh dear misunderstood CC yer driving an automatic! Allison is the best Eaton not so much but we had a driver "crawl" into stopped car ahead 'cause wasn't holding down brake hard enough.
Good luck with those mountains . . .CruzControhl Thanks this. -

Yea theres a few. Cant name them all but: some fun hilly routes in va an pa for me were va: virgina 8...not restricted to tractor trailers but oh migh gets down to 20 maybe 15mph. I thought this was the tail of Dragon everyone spoke of. Wouldn't drive that at night.
Then another place called narrow something i think narrow ridge. (Us 460 out of va) Gets down to i believe 20mph and for a few miles you go through a hilly NARROW road surrounded side by side with mountain rock walls trees and immediate falls to your left and right.
In PA us 40 and us 322 do the same. Truck speed gets limited down to 20mph. Thats all i can think of outside major highways. Also the highest elevation ive seen is like 2,800 ft?
I know out west the are roads easily topping 10,000ft?D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
