Millis Transfer, Inc. - Black River Falls, Wi.?

hello all truckin girl we at con-way truckload have lots of female drivers and last i knew we were hiring both students and experianced driver i did work for millis transfer a few years back and only saw a few girls

 

to any newbies without cdl's THE most important thing to ask any company can you gaurantee me a truck when i sucessfully complete yor training program I was told that the company i work for that we have 140 people waiting for trucks they are getting $60 a day to sit home and wait for a truck so if thats what you want good luck if not get it in writing from the recruiter that they gaurantee you a truck when done training best of luck to all this is a tough industry to get into now i have been trucking for about 1 1/2 years as a newbie good luck to all and remember to stay away from the drivers lounge scuttlebutt as much as possible it can get pretty redicilous

thanks for the recommendation...I've heard though that there is a waiting period there for trucks.I dont think i want to sit at home on a waiting list for a truck although i do appreciate your response.Best of luck to ya!!!!

 

Does anyone know if millis is hiring after you successfully complete there driving school? I cannot afford to sit at home and wait on a truck.

 

if they accept you in their school and you pass they will hire you. Now, you may have to wait 1 day 10 days 30 days on a truck but usually not that long.

tell them you want to wait at home on a truck so you can deliver pizzas if you have to.

 

to all who read this post i am sorry if i confused you or misled anyone i do not work for millis transfer any longer i was refering to the wonderful company i now work for CON-WAY truckload awesome company we have the waiting list not millis just ask the recruiter at millis how long the wait is for a truck SORRY

 

I've been a millis driver about 8 months now they have been very good to me they get me home when I need it all I do is ask pay not great but average miles are picking up too I went to ther school in cartersville ga it was fast pace class the instructor was great (he kicked our butts when we needed it ) nice group of drivers most of them have been very helpfull to me I would recommend them to anyone new or old

i have found everything to be on the up and up witht he company
i get along good with my trainer and we are staying busy
looking forward to my own truck down the road although right now im still glad i have an experienced driver to keep an eye on me

hey you newbies if you ever get norm livengood as a trainer he is in my opinion the best trainer millis has not cause he was mine we had a great time if you had him let me know if not try to get him you wont regret it
