my company has a bunch of 2012-2016 petes and i've driven 6 different trucks in the last 4 months. every single truck has had a check engine light on. one truck breaks down, i get a spare, and the spare breaks down the first time i drive it. i get another spare, that spare broke down a week later. i get another spare, that broke down 2 weeks later. ect. ect. those new emission trucks are cleaner than most people realize. they can't give off any pollution when they're in the f----ng shop all the time.

2 ways to better the odds in your favor.
Purchase something with Cummins power and put a 13 speed manual behind it. Of all the manufacturers listed on Truckpaper. Paccar has more trucks with that combination that all other manufacturers combined. They, or their customers must know something.

Get a DD15 and forgo the Pete until they have a proven engine the X15 maybe just that it's going to take more time to tell.
