Who is Hiring right now?

I spoke to a SNI recruiter this morning. I've been driving a few years so I guess I'm eligible. She made it clear however, that if I did not go team I am taking a chance that I won't make much money. She elaborated that teams get priority dispatch over solos, better freight, longer runs, higher pay, everything except a bigger schlong. I don't team though, so not sure if I'm going for it. I still have an app in the pipeline at about four different companies. At this point it's more a matter of timing. Whoever calls with a solid job offer first, wins, or loses, depending on how you look at it.

 

i been following this topic since page 1 lmao wow yeah long time ago. but its bad everywhere. with the way things are right now most of everyone will be out of a job in the nexted few months. i live in kentucky. theres really no jobs here at all. i have seen people go to indiana i seen them go to TN. i have thousands of apps in for just about every trucking company out there. what im being told from them. is this.

3 months for a very few not even a handle full.
6 months for 40% of them.
year or more 55% for the rest of them.

but i also found out that alot of companys will start picking back up around mid april(so they say). but the road in trucking seems to be washing out. yes there thousands of new drivers comin out of school. some have great DMV, Crime Reports, etc. but there also about the same amount that doesn't have it. i thought i was gettin on with this 1 company(western express)(yes there hiring). but it turned out that a 9 year old felony for battery with a weapon stopped me. so guys i still beleave in trucking but its REALLY hard goin for everyone. so good luck to you guys on this

 

yeah ain't it great! I worked for the same company for 18 years quit because I was sick of working in a chemical plant and being told for 18 years how much money we were losing,in 18 years the company NEVER made a profit except a few years when we signed a 4 year contract. So I asked the great state of Texas with our compassionate Governor to help me pay for traing and guess what! Nope you haven't been to prison or been on welfare or need tattoo removal so you are't entitled to help! Wonder were all the taxes I paid went. Wonder if I can get that money back? ROFLMAO

 

I just did a BIG boo-boo!!!! I need to find a driving job asap!!! Time is running out before a no-no turns up on my DAC! Looking for something where I can be home at least 2-3 days at home. Help~!!!

 

teaming sucks! just because its hard to find someone your compatible with.if this is what they are moveing to.......and they are, then trucking will suck more!

 

I have a question.. Is it just Me, or will CR England hire just about Anyone anytime?

 

J.B Hunt just called me. I haven't applied there since November of 07'. Of course, I wouldn't want to leave Swift to just change the truck model and logo's because that's about all I'd be doing. They are hiring in South Carolina for sure.

 

Dose swift have training i got no CDL

 

ANy one know of a company that will train i have no CDL looking to get into a company
