Any company drivers being sent into the historic cold?

I'd have to agree with you too. When i was a kid we waited for the bus in -30 below zero many times. So this isn't the first time it got this cold. Back than they didn't cancel school and they didn't have radios or telephones in the buses let alone much of heaters but everybody survived.

 

We set a record low last night -31 here in northern Illinois, the lowest temp since they started keeping records in 1905. I have been out in it every morning the last 2 days, it is refreshing, really lets you know your alive, glad i am not out working in it though.

 

Except the ones that didnt. No one remebers little johny who froze to death back in 1964. There was no internet to let everyone know

 

Seems to be more frozen trucks on the side of the road than working trucks running down the road. I got gelled up the other day even with treated fuel and 911.

Today felt like a heat wave compared to wed.
Unloaded antifreeze this morning in -17 temp but was positioned out of the wind.
Wed morning not so lucky -27 and wind chill -50

 

All these truck stops cant pump fuel or jave 1 or 2 only working... Some these places looks like 2-3 hrs to get fuel.. Luckly i can fuel any place tjat takes com data. So i went to a lesd used place across the street and didnt have to wait but across tje street at loves they was 10 deep or more out on the street trying to use the 1 fuel island tjay was still working. No points for this fill uo but better than the alternative lol.

 

There sure is alot of trucks on the side of the road. Every mile or so theres one.
