You see them pulling but do you see them stopping quickly with a 5 -6 car trailer ?

There is no doubt that you are correct. It really does not matter what the vehicle or trailer is, the ratings are the ratings. If you're over a ticket can be issued. I will say that the tires I run are rated at or just over what the axel is rated at, so I should be good with the tires.
    Thanks, PK

The weight limit is the what ever is rated the lowest whether it’s the tires or the axle rating.
My friend just purchased a 2018 Dodge Ram 3500.
I checked the door and the weight rating for the rear end is 9600#.
If that was close to what your gm truck is rated for you would be about a 1000# over weight according to the 10600# number 2 axle weight you posted?

I checked my rating today. The 9600# is close, but that Ram is rated 224# heavier than my 2011 Chevy 3500 rating of 9376#. Front is 5600#. So I was over by 1224# on the rear in MS.

I am probably loaded very similar today to what I was in MS and was scaled in OK and AR with both giving me the "GO" sign. It's interesting that I am over and not getting a ticket. I would have to think that others running similar setups must be over on the rear as well. I guess I will continue to ride the wave until I get knocked off. Thanks, PK

    Yes
Just be aware that it can happen at any time.
The same kind of issue exists for the 53 ft high mounts with overhang, especially at the rear.
Running a high mount with overhang is illegal in most states.
    Is it done?
    Thousands of times every day.
But one day you run in to that one official and it’s ticket time.
At that time all you can do is pay your fine and be thankful you got away with it the other hundred times you did it.

I'm running a full size now, started with a 3 car and a dodge. The guys pulling over 4 cars are overweight. California you have to pull in but I sont think they do. I got a citation for not pulling into the scale. These guys are putting everyone in danger when running over 4 cars. Doesn't matter if it's a 3500 or 5500. No air brakes, no stopping. Its reckless, dangerous and stupid
